Before I knew it, Friday, October 18th, had arrived—the last day of our journey. After saying our goodbyes at school, we packed up and headed back to Madrid. We arrived in the city around 6 PM and took some time to explore its lively streets. Even though it was a short visit, it felt nice to end the trip in such a vibrant place. Walking around Madrid, I couldn’t help but reflect on everything that had happened over the past weeks. It was a bittersweet moment—on one hand, I was sad to leave behind the amazing people, places, and experiences; but on the other hand, I felt excited to go home and see my family and friends again. This Erasmus trip was more than just a journey—it was an adventure filled with unforgettable moments. From the breathtaking sights to the laughs we shared, it’s a chapter in my life that I’ll always treasure. I’m so grateful for every person and every memory that made it so special.  The week went by faster than I could have imagined. Most of my time was spent at school, where I focused on getting to know my French classmates better. With my friends from Alcoy already back in Spain, I decided to make the most of every moment here and truly immerse myself in the experience. One of the highlights of the week was Tuesday, October 15th, when we celebrated “Pink October” at school to raise awareness about breast cancer. Everyone wore pink, and since I didn’t bring anything pink with me, Mateo kindly lent me one of his shirts. It was so nice to see the whole school coming together to support such an important cause. The shades of pink everywhere added such a cheerful and united feeling to the day. Here's a photo I took with my classmates:

Sunday, October 13th, was one of the best days of the trip. Mateo, his older sister, her little kid, and I went to Pointe Saint-Mathieu, a place that looked like it came straight out of a postcard. There were high cliffs, an old lighthouse standing tall against the sky, and the ocean stretching endlessly into the horizon. We spent the day exploring, starting with some ancient abbey ruins that were full of history and charm. After that, we walked along the coastline, feeling the sea breeze on our faces and listening to the waves crashing against the rocks below. The sound of the ocean was so peaceful that it made me feel completely relaxed. But it wasn’t just the views that made the day special. Being there reminded me of how lucky I was to be on this trip, experiencing something so unique. The beauty of the place, combined with the calmness of the moment, made it a memory I know I’ll always treasure.
