October 18th

 Before I knew it, Friday, October 18th, had arrived—the last day of our journey. After saying our goodbyes at school, we packed up and headed back to Madrid. We arrived in the city around 6 PM and took some time to explore its lively streets. Even though it was a short visit, it felt nice to end the trip in such a vibrant place.

Walking around Madrid, I couldn’t help but reflect on everything that had happened over the past weeks. It was a bittersweet moment—on one hand, I was sad to leave behind the amazing people, places, and experiences; but on the other hand, I felt excited to go home and see my family and friends again.

This Erasmus trip was more than just a journey—it was an adventure filled with unforgettable moments. From the breathtaking sights to the laughs we shared, it’s a chapter in my life that I’ll always treasure. I’m so grateful for every person and every memory that made it so special.

  These past few days have been pretty much the same in terms of routine. Every morning, as usual, I went to class where we continued with the syllabus and taking notes. The atmosphere in class is quite pleasant, and little by little I am socializing more, both with my classmates and with the people from Alcoy, with whom I have been able to talk a little more during lunch and CDI hours. Although at first everything was a little new, I am already feeling more comfortable in the environment. On Wednesday afternoon I went out with Mateo, his mother, his sister and his nephew. We went shopping to find a new pair of shoes for the kid. Sometimes, doing simple things like shopping can be a good way to get to know people better. Although these days have not been particularly busy, there have been times that have allowed me to continue connecting with the people around me, both in and out of class. Today we woke up early because we were supposed to go to the funfair with some of Mateo's friends. Although we arrived on time, it was difficult to find them because the market was huge. In the end, we walked around the stalls and rode the bumper cars, which was a lot of fun. Afterwards, we went to Siam Street, which is full of shops, and had lunch at McDonald's. Later, we went back to the funfair, rode several rides and had a great time. At the end of the day, we were exhausted, but we really enjoyed the day. In the morning, we went with Matéo's mother to the market to buy ingredients for the meal with their family. After shopping, we went back home, where we met up with his sister Rose and her boyfriend to cook. Later, more family members arrived and we all ate together.   The 20th started at the CDI (the library) where I stayed with Eva and the Spanish people. Then I had Chemistry class, but had a trouble finding the classroom. I finally arrived on time and we did a chromatography experiment, although I couldn't take any photos. During lunch, I met up with the Spanish people, their French correspondants and two other girls. It was a nice meal. Then I had Geography and French, and when the classes were over we went home to rest. During the afternoon, I played video games with Matéo and one of his friends until his sister picked us up to go to dinner at a creperie with some of his family. I tried both savoury and sweet crepes, as well as a fruit smoothie. We returned home around 10 and went to sleep. The Saturday started calm, writing the blog, but at 12:30 Matéo connected two controllers to the PlayStation and we played together before lunch.
